When approaching the port you should draw your attention to the buoys, which mark the way – only there the depth is suitable to approach the port. The port is worth visiting for two reasons. Nearby there is well perserved amphitheatre in Epidauros, built in 330 BC with wonderful accoustics and auditorium for 14.000 people. You can hire a taxi to the amphitheatre right in the port. The cost of the trip to the place and back with an hour of waiting is 40 – 45 Euro. Epidavros is an orange area – nowhere in the world such a wonderful orange treas scent and such delicious, juicy fruit.
